Badbury Rings

Badbury Rings is an Iron Age hill fort and can be found on the B3082 between Blandford Forum and Wimborne Minster in Dorset. It is in the care of the Nation Trust. It is free to enter but there is a box for donations and what's a pound or two 'eh? Similar to Maiden Castle, Dorchester in that it is not actually on a hill top, it has three rings of bank and ditch ( the outer ring is inferior and possibly added later, Roman times? ) surrounding a central enclosure. Also of interest is numerous round barrows and a possible long barrow to the NW of the site.
